It was a great weekend. Friday night after grocery shopping the out to Kokomos with Kevin and janelle followed by a trip to Zembies. It has been four weeks since my last cigarette, had a slight breakdown with a cigar, but all and all the quitting is still going well. So it was a good night. I had on my black SWK, with black socks, and a sweater I was warm enough and did get a few compliments on the outfit. Kevin went home to change into his Div 17 USAKilt so we were hanging out together kilted always a good time.
Saturday Kathy and I had tickets to the strawberry ball this was a very good time. Kathy and I dressed up 
Before the ball we decided to grab something to eat so I broke out the Ronco rotisserie, which we probably haven’t used in a year or so. I made chicken drumsticks in the basket. they were great and it was easy to use and clean up. We found a place for it on the first floor and will be using it quite a bit more often from here on out.
Upon arrival at the ball we were greeted at the door with ticket takers. There were two ‘bars’ set up on the lower level. The option at the bars was Bud Light or Bud Select and three types of wine. the beer was cold and certainly adequate. In the back away from the stage there was food from the many restaurants in the area which kathy and I sampled. The food was good, although not as good as if you were at the restaurant. I suppose transporting and keeping it warm was a challenge. It was another night that I was glad I wasn’t a smoker any more. It was nice to be able to just stay in the party and not have to keep going outside. We will definatly go again next year and hopefully get a few more people to join us.
